Kings of Leon is an American rock band that formed in Nashville, Tennessee, United States in 1999, consisting of brothers Anthony Caleb Followill (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Ivan Nathan Followill (drums, percussion, backing vocals) and Michael Jared Followill (bass, backing vocals), with their cousin Cameron Matthew Followill (lead guitar, backing vocals). Each member of the family group is known by his middle name (second given name) as opposed to his first given name.

7th Annual PAWker Run

The 7th Annual PAWker Run to benefit the Frances R. Willis SPCA of Dorchester County will be held on Saturday, September 11 at the Dorchester Shrine Club at 2150 Beech Hill Road.
Registration is $20 per person with extra hands at $5. Registration includes free t-shirt, goody bag and BBQ Plate lunch with dessert. The 100-mile Run through the Lowcountry will have 10 stops with 5 mandatory, including the Frances R. Willis SPCA.
When bikers return, they will have a BBQ Plate lunch with dessert, a 50/50 drawing and drawings for door prizes. Cash prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and worst hands.

Event Start Times & Funraising amounts - An outdoor cycling ride (approximately 70 miles) starting and finishing at the Mount Pleasant Waterfront Park. Starting at 6:45 a.m. $125 RAISED to secure a number
- Spin a thon Block One: 8:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. (2.5 hour ride) $125.00 raised to secure bike
- Spin a thon Block Two: 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon (90 minute ride) $75.00 raised to secure bike
The Bridge Ride is an outdoor cycling ride and indoor spinning event at East Shore Athletic Club. The event will support the ECCO dental clinic and brings the entire community together to support our local charity.

McKenna is a beautiful 14 month old little girl with Cerebral palsy and many other disabilities, the ride will start at the American Legion Post 179/Ashley Hall Rd registration starts at 10 am 1st bike out at 11, last bike out at 12, 3 other stops and then ending at the Wolf Track on Hwy 61, a raffle and silent auction will happen after the ride, Live Band, food and freebees. The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3137 on the Isle of Palms is hosting their 11th Annual Golf Tournament at the Wild Dunes Harbor Course on Sunday September 12th at 1pm. The cost for this Captains Choice tournament is $75 per player, which includes food and drinks during the tournament, resort golf, a beach front bbq dinner after the tournament and prizes! You can sign up and pay at VFW Post 3137 on the IOP, which is located next to the Windjammer. Hole Sponsors are needed as well, with only a minimum of $100 needed to be a Sponsor.
