1.) If things are missing where you work, who is the first to get the blame? In lots of workplaces, it might be the nighttime cleaning crew. However, a new study shows the person most likely to steal office supplies and equipment, or embezzle funds from work is a male middle manager in his 40s. The psychological profile of that person shows he generally has an attitude that he's plateaued in the company and his career . . . so he resents the company and realizes he probably doesn't have a giant payday coming in the future.
2.) Zombies might traditionally crave brains, but The Walking Dead wants your blood. Or, at least the AMC zombie hit wants you to donate a pint. The Walking Dead has teamed with the American Red Cross to encourage blood donation. The blood drive is being promoted with a “Give Blood Sweepstakes,” which is offering a three-day, two-night trip to the Walking Dead set in Georgia during the filming of season four as a grand prize. Use your brains - give blood. To learn how to enter, and set up a donation appointment, use the link we’ve set up on the Y Morning Wake-Up blog.

3.) If you think you’re paying too much for beer, think again. The international bank UBS has gathered data about a variety of things world-wide, and they’ve discovered the cheapest beer on Earth is found in America. That’s when you figure how many minutes of work it takes the average worker of a county to earn enough money to buy a beer. Beer is most expensive in India, where it takes nearly an hour of work to afford a pint of beer. In the U.S. it takes the average worker about 5 minutes of labor to purchase a pint.
