1.) Tomorrow is the Smithsonian’s Museum Day Live, the 8th annual event celebrating cultural education through the nation’s wide array of museums and institutions. You can head to the Smithsonian’s web site to download tickets granting you free admission for two people per household to participating museums. There are three low country museums participating - Drayton Hall on Ashley River Road in Charleston, the Colleton Museum in Walterboro and the Powder Magazine on Cumberland Street in Charleston.

2.) The next time your boss catches you looking at pictures of kittens on-line, say you're doing it for the good of the company. A new study out of Japan is showing that looking at the photos may make you more productive. Since people slow down when looking at baby animals, it makes workers be more careful. Plus, because babies cause nurturing feelings, the pictures tend to make employees more focused and do better at tasks. And, looking at the baby animals also makes people pay better attention to detail.
3.) What country has the best internet in the world? It’s not the United States, which ranks second. The country which tops the U.S. in terms of internet freedom, bandwidth and speed is Estonia. According to Freedom House, who did the research on the study, Estonia ranks among the most wired and technologically advanced countries in the world. Estonia is a country of 1.29 million people in Eastern Europe, bordering Russia to its west, and south across the Baltic Sea from Finland.
