1.) You may have been thrilled with your candidate or, unhappy with his performance during last night’s Presidential debate. But if you think that the results of the upcoming election may be so bad you’ll want to leave the country, JetBlue wants to help. The carrier, who will begin flying out of Charleston next year, is giving away 1,006 free plane rides out of the country to people who vote for the losing candidate this November. To participate in the “Live Free or Fly” program, register at their web site, tell them who you plan to vote for, and which of JetBlue’s foreign destinations you’d like to fly. Right now, President Obama is leading the JetBlue vote 52% to 48%.

2.) Thanks to the ever increasing capabilities of smartphones, people are spending more and more time playing mobile games. Perhaps surprisingly, the largest growing segment of game players is women. 10 years ago, 72% of mobile gamers were men. Today, guys make up only 53%. Its social games like “Words With Friends” and “Draw Something” that are the favorite games of women.
3.) It could be a record setting year at the Munich Oktoberfest. Thanks to better weather and an increase in attendance from 3.5 to 3.6 million visitors, more beer than ever before is being consumed at the festival. Last year, 7.5 million liters of beer were consumed, which was a new record. Through the first week of Oktoberfest 2012, the number of one-liter Mass glasses of beer guzzled was up by 6 percent, more than 200,000 over last year. The Munich Oktoberfest continues through Sunday.
