1.) Since almost everyone agrees that Republican challenger Mitt Romney was the winner in Wednesday night’s Presidential Debate, this can’t be good news for President Obama. According to Nielsen, more than 67 million viewers tuned in for the debate, which is the most in 32 years. The most watched Presidential Debate was the 1980 match-up between then President Jimmy Carter, and then Republican nominee Ronald Reagan. Just over 80 million viewers turned on their TVs to see those two candidates in their only debate.
2.) If you want to vote in the November 6th election, tomorrow is the final day for you to register. You will need to have a South Carolina Driver’s License or a DMV ID. Those offices are open today for you to register in person, and the voter registration offices will be open in Charleston, Dorchester and Berkeley Counties on Saturday from 9 until Noon.

3.) You could win your wife’s weight in beer this weekend. The 2012 North American Wife Carrying Championship takes place at the Sunday River Ski Lodge in Newry, Maine. Wife-Carrying teams must be composed of a male and female, but the woman does not need to be the man’s legal wife, and the female is allowed to carry the male. The winning couple will receive two times the wife’s weight in beer, and 5 times her weight in cash.
