1.)     This past August, J.C. Penney had a special for children, offering free haircuts in time for back to school.     The program was an overwhelming success, with Penney’s provide 1.6 million free haircuts.   If your son or daughter missed out, J.C. Penney’s is not only bringing back the special, but making it permanent.    Beginning this Sunday, November 4th, children will be able to get free haircuts every Sunday at J.C. Penney salon, including at their Northwoods Mall and Citadel Mall locations.

2.)     If you’re someone who can’t stop biting your nails, you may soon be able to claim you have an obsessive-compulsive disorder.     According to the Health on Today blog, the American Psychiatric Association plans to classify severe cases under the OCD label when the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders is updated next year.    People who "have bitten so much that they are getting infections" or have limited the use of their hands will qualify.

3.)     Within hours of Mitt Romney’s comments about PBS and Big Bird during the first presidential debate, a Million Puppet March Facebook page was created, and that web domain was also purchased.     So tomorrow at 10AM in Washington DC’s Lincoln Park, people and puppets will gather and at 11, will head toward the Capitol Reflecting Pool as part of the Million Puppet March.    A rally will follow at 1, with a 2 o’clock “Global Tweet,” asking supports to head to Twitter and pronounced “I support continued public funding of public media. #MPM2012.”
