1.) Later today in the Rose Garden, President Obama will hand out a pair of pardons. The 2012 National Thanksgiving Turkeys, Cobbler and Gobbler, will not be served on the White House menu this Thanksgiving. Instead, after being pardoned, they’ll be driven in a horse-drawn carriage to George Washington's Mount Vernon Estate and Gardens. There, they will be on display as part of Christmas at Mount Vernon until January 6th. When the holidays end, the turkeys' will live in a custom-made enclosure at Mount Vernon's livestock facility.
2.) Preparing Thanksgiving dinner means having the ability to multi-task as you prepare a large number of items, all which will be a part of your big feast, at the same time. This holiday, put your iPad to use by downloading the Kitchen Pad Time app. The app will display icons of burners and oven racks, and includes a separate timer for up to nine items that can all run at the same time. The app is available for download at the Apple iTunes store for just a dollar ninety-nine.
3.) Is your husband or boyfriend keeping a secret account from you? According to a study by the antivirus software company Bullguard, 20 percent of men have a secret e-mail account. In addition, one in 20 men admit to having a secret cell phone. Maybe less surprising, this same survey shows that more than three quarters of men say they delete texts just in case their significant other checks their cell phone. And, 66 percent of males do not share their passwords with their wife/girlfriend.
