1.) What’s the most corrupt country in the world? According to Transparency International’s annual rankings, there’s a 3 way tie. North Korea, Afghanistan and Somalia all scored a total of 8 points, on a scale of 1 to 100 to score the worst of 176 nations. On the other end of the scale are New Zealand, Denmark and Finland, who scored 90 and are the least corrupt countries. The United States was 19th on the list with a score of 73 just ahead of Chile, and right behind Japan and the United Kingdom who tied at number 17.
2.) Would you like to smell like Pizza Hut? That company’s Canadian marketing group suggested the idea in a Facebook post by asking fans what they would call such a scent. Among the many responses were pleas to be able to buy such a perfume. So the company made 110 bottles of Eau de Pizza Hut, which boasts the smell of “top notes of freshly baked, hand-tossed dough.” If you’re hoping to get a bottle of the fragrance, you’ve missed out. All of it was given to Pizza Hut Canada Facebook fans who requested a bottle. The company says only time will tell if more Pizza Hut perfume is produced.
3. A new law has banned the use of cell phones in public by women. The all male council of elders in the northern India village of Sunderbari has passed the law because the phones are leading to elopements. Cell phones are allowing both single and married women to connect with whoever they want, in a part of the world where most marriages are arranged. The fine for single women talking on a cell phone is about $180 while for married women it’s about $40.
