1.) College football season comes to an end tonight with the BCS Championship game being played at Sun Life Stadium in Miami. It will feature the top ranked and undefeated Notre Dame Fighting Irish taking on the 2nd ranked Alabama Crimson Tide. Notre Dame last won a national championship in 1988 while Alabama has won two of the last three crowns. These great football programs have only played each other 6 times, with Notre Dame winning 5 of the 6 games. Alabama is a 9 ½ point favorite in the game, which kicks-off at 8:30 and can be seen on ESPN.
2.) One of your Tweets could be included in the next collection being archived by the Library of Congress. In the name of science and research, the Library of Congress is preserving the roughly 170 billion tweets sent between Twitter’s founding in 2006 and April of 2010 when the initiative was announced. Archiving and preserving outlets such as Twitter will enable future researchers access to a fuller picture of today's cultural norms, dialogue, trends and events.
3.) Who realized the sandwich artists at Subway were so passionate about their work? At an Orlando, Florida Subway last week, Lawrence Ordone got into an argument and attempted to fight a customer who asked for ketchup on his Philly Cheesesteak. The customer ran off and called 9-1-1. Lawrence was not arrested, but his artistic integrity did get him fired from Subway.
