1.)     What’s the best asset a man can have in assisting his career?   According to a new study from Melbourne University in Australia its good looks!      According to their research the average handsome man surveyed makes $85,900 a year. The average unattractive man surveyed makes $52,100.    That means the good-looking men make $33,800 more every year than the ugly men. OUCH.     The researchers say that with women the effect is smaller but harder to measure.       When a woman's good looking, she might run into the stereotypes that hot women just CAN'T be that intelligent, so it hurts her salary.

2.)     Could it be that we're finally giving up?      Fewer people are dieting and women are leading the decline.    In 1992, 35% of women said they were dieting.    Last year, it was 23%.     One of the things that may be Helping this trend is the perception that skinny is not all that attractive.     In 1985, 55% of people thought people who were not overweight were more attractive.     That number has dropped to fewer than one-in-four.     So is bigger the new normal?    It's all relative since what used to be a size 8 dress in the 1950s is a size zero in this decade.

3.)     Yesterday, Apple announced that the iTunes App Store has now topped over 40 billion downloads.     While that’s an incredible number, what’s even more incredible is that nearly half of those downloads occurred in just the last year, over 2012.     This past December alone, iOS users downloaded over 2 billion applications, setting a monthly record in the process.
