2.)     Attorney Thomas P. Lowe won’t be practicing law for at least the next 15 months.     Lowe had been approached by an acquaintance who asked him to represent her in a divorce.    But their relationship went beyond attorney-client, evolving into a sexual affair.      The Minnesota Supreme Court took the step of barring Lowe after discovering that he maintained his professionalism throughout the affair — even going so far as to bill the woman for the time they spent when they were having sex.


3.)     “Like you, we’ve missed NHL hockey.”    That was the message of an ad in around 40 newspapers across the U.S. and Canada to apologize to fans for the lock-out that delayed the start of the season and cut the schedule from 82 to 48 games.     The NHL season will start tomorrow as the defending Champion Los Angeles King host the Chicago Blackhawks.
