3.) 58 year old David Ranta remains in a New York City hospital this morning, after suffering a massive heart attack on Friday night. Prior to having his heart attack, Ranta had spent the last 23 years in jail. At age 37, he was wrongful convicted of murder. There was never any physical evidence linking him to the crime, one witness says a detective told him to pick David out of a lineup, and another woman testified that her late husband confessed to the murder. His case was reopened last year and he was released last Thursday. His lawyer says the heart attack happened after, quote, "The accumulated trauma of being incarcerated for 23 years, coupled with the intense emotions surrounding his release."
