1.) If your dream job involves sleeping, your dream job is available. The Hotel Finn in Helsinki, Finland, is seeking a professional sleeper to test the comfort of their rooms and blog about it. The hotel wants a "dynamic person to write a quality blog" about their experience living in the "best spot of summery Helsinki." Along with sleeping and writing, you must be fluent in Finnish and English to apply. Knowledge of Russian is an advantage. About 600 people have applied for the sleeper position so far - the deadline to apply is the end of April. Click the link to find out about applying -- http://hotelfinn.wordpress.com/
2.) Baseball season opened up last night in Texas as the Houston Astros hosted, and beat the Texas Rangers. The 25 players that make up the Astros roster have a combined salary of close to $25 million dollars. With the lowest payroll in baseball, the total salaries of the teams entire roster is less than that of Alex Rodriguez, who will earn $29 million this year, and won’t even play the first half of the season. In fact, 10 other major league players will individually earn more money than the entire Astros team.
3.) Parents always want what’s best for their children. That can mean many things, including buying them a $6.5 million high-rise apartment in a city on the other side of the planet. A Chinese mother has purchased the place to live as she believes her daughter may attend Columbia, or NYU, or maybe even Harvard. The move might be financially savvy as the apartment’s value has already increased to $8.9 million. And, there’s time for it to go even higher - the daughter the apartment was purchased for is just 2 years old.
