1.) Chances are you’ve seen the new Wendy’s logo the fast food chain rolled out about 4 months ago. They gave the Wendy character a makeover, and switched from their old, boxy, Western-looking lettering to a font that looks more like handwriting. Have you notice the subliminal message in the new logo. The way Wendy's collar is drawn, the pattern on it spells out the word "mom." According to Wendy's corporate office, the subliminal message was an accident saying quote, "We can assure you it was unintentional."
But . . . they say since that logo came out, their sales are up 25%.
2.) Which country is the hardest working nation in the world? According to the just released list from CNN/Money, it’s not the United States, but Mexico, where the average person puts in 44 hours a week for an average salary of just under $10,000 per year. The United States ranks 7th on the list, with the average American working 37.5 hours per week and earning almost $55,000 a year. Behind Mexico, and in front of the U.S on the list are Chile, at number 2, followed by South Korea, Estonia, Russia and Poland. Hungary, Japan and Slovakia follow the United States to round out the top ten.
3.) Earning around $75 million dollars over the past 12 months, Robert Downey Jr. is the highest paid actor in Hollywood according to Forbes. His movie “Iron Man 3” made over a billion dollars worldwide, with another expected blockbuster, “Avengers 2” in the works. Second on the list, earning $60 million was “Magic Mike” star Channing Tatum. X-Men’s Hugh Jackman was 3rd on the list, taking home $55 million dollars. Mark Wahlberg, and The Rock, Dwayne Johnson rounded out the top 5.
