1.) Who is more likely to cheat, a man or a woman? A dating firm survey of 3,000 people determined that women are more likely to cheat than men. While 9 percent of the male respondents say they were certain they’d be unfaithful if they fell for somebody else, 25 percent of female respondents said they would definitely have an affair if an outsider piqued their interest. Women age 35 to 40 were most likely to be unfaithful. The results indicate many women look for love elsewhere out of feelings of neglect, either physical or emotional.
2.) Breast-feeding rates in our country continue to rise and health officials believe that’s a good thing. The CDC reports that 77 percent of moms breastfeed today, up from 71 percent a decade ago. Experts say breast milk contains antibodies that protect newborns from infections, and breast-fed babies are less likely to become overweight. Plus, the Wall Street Journal reports a separate study for the American Medical Association suggests it makes for smarter babies, too.
3.) On August 1, 1961 in Arlington, Texas, what is now a family summer destination opened. The admission price then was $2.75. Today, 52 years later, it will cost you 60 dollars to visit Six Flags. While Six Flags has become synonymous with thrill rides, the name is actually said to represent the six nations that have flown their flag over the Lone Star state at some point in history. Those countries are France, Spain, Mexico, the Confederate States of America, the Republic of Texas and finally, the United States.
