1.) Facebook may have been created in the United States, but we’re not the country with the highest percentage of users of the social media site. According the Facebook statistics, 61% of users around the world check Facebook at least once per day. 70% of U.S. users check in daily, but 74% of Canadians log on Facebook each day. In case you’re curious, the Facebook page with the most Canadian likes is Eminem’s, followed by Tim Hortons, The Family Guy, You Tube and The Simpsons.
2.) Fans of losing NFL teams are fatter – that’s the findings from a study in the journal of Psychological Science. The journal examined what happened to fans the day after their team played. Supporters of the winning team tended to eat healthier foods, while losing team fans went for foods with more saturated fats and sugars. On average, fans of the losing teams ate about 16% more than they usually ate on a Monday.
3.) It’s the end of the road for the Volkswagen Microbus. Introduced back in 1950, the VW Microbus has been made in Brazil since 1957. However, that 56 year run will come to an end this December. The van is finally being discontinued since it cannot be modified to meet upcoming safety regulations.
