1.) Let’s get rid of all of them. That’s the feeling across our nation according to a new NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll. 60 percent of people asked say if they had the chance to vote to defeat and replace every single member of Congress, including their own representative, they would. Just 35 percent say they would not. The 60 percent figure is the highest ever for that question recorded in the poll, providing a new high water mark for the disgust we have for our elected representatives.
2.) Coca-Cola is testing a new vending machine that changes prices depend on the temperature outside. And before you assume that means the higher the temperature the higher the price, think again. The machine is set to charge $2.40 when the temperature is under 84 degrees. Once it hits 84 or 85, the price drops to $1.70 and if the temperature goes about 86, the price drops to $1.20, or half off. Coke says the pricing is set to make the drink more appealing during the summer. The machine is being tested in Spain. There’s no word whether they will comes to the U.S.
3.) There are no classes for students at Calvary Christian School in Columbus, Georgia today because of great weather. The forecast for Columbus is sunny and 80 today. Len McWilliams is the headmaster at the school and he is keeping a commitment he made to find a positive reason to cancel classes before he retires at the end of the year. McWilliams says he’s had to cancel classes because of bad weather for years and thought it was time to close the school once to let the students and staff enjoy a nice day.
