Those kiddos had no idea it was April 1st, LOL.

Where it all began, back in the eighties. I got a microphone from my grandparents for Christmas one year, and I couldn't put it down. I'd go up and interview everyone about what they got for Christmas...even sing. Haha

My amazing siblings. From left, Joshua, Jon-Erik, Me, and Charity.

College Days: I volunteered for about everything at 90.5 WASU in Boone, NC. The pic above is a morning show I was on where I delievered the morning dish of "The Starr Report." It stuck with me so, I decided to use it with Brian on the Y Morning Wake-Up.

Masters 2012 with my friend Ashleigh. I don't know much about golf, but I learned if you're going to The Masters, prepare yourself for quite a walk to the entrance. I've never seen so many cars in my life. It's like stepping into another world through those gates. Stunningly beautiful.

First Celebrity Encounter: I was doing select interviews for a country station during Merlefest in Wilkesboro, NC. I happened to look up and saw that handsome face. Panic set in immediately, I was like, "I've got to go say hello." I was so nervous, and I kept telling myself, it's just Dierks Bentley, calm down...then he put his arm around me for the pic, I was like, "Oh Lord, don't let me faint."

Co-hosting at the American Cancer Society's Bachelor Auction back in June. The event brought in over $10,000 that evening.

With Dr. Noah Drake, Rick Springfield back in June 2012. He's one of my favs from the 80's. Mom told me, "Courtney, I can still remember you singing along to his songs from the backseat of the car."

You're going next, to the BAHAMAS BABY! I was just there at Sandals Emerald Bay in Great Exuma. It's breathtakingly beautiful...get ready for fun with our Workescape Getaway you can win all for being a loyal Y102-5 listener.
On the resort, there is a French restaurant called La Parisienne. It's where I tasted the delicacy Escargot...yeah, those little dark rubbery things called snails. Hey, there's a first for everything, and I thought "why not?" I also had Conch Salad that features chopped up raw conch meat mixed with tomatos, peppers, onions. It was delicious!
Raw meat, and snails without their shells...good stuff...and no one is gonna kiss me again. ;)

Earlier today, I had an opportunity to visit with a local school here in Great Exuma. Sandals has adopted several schools throughout the Bahamas and supplied them with the necessary tools to ensure that kids are well educated. If a child's parent is unable to purchase school supplies such as uniforms, Sandals steps in to help.

The kids I worked with are so intelligent and full of life. I had a ball with them. There was a point where I read a book to them about music, and I asked them what their all-time favorite song was...they didn't just tell me, they broke out into "I Believe I Can Fly." Awwww moment for sure!
