
Nine African American, former "American Idol" rejects from various seasons have banded together to accuse the show of racism, and they're planning to sue. Their lawyer accuses "Idol" of engaging in a, quote, "cruel and inhumane" scheme to exploit and humiliate black contestants for ratings. "Idol", obviously, says that's bogus.

Some are claiming that their pasts have been brought up at opportune times for ratings (arrests, etc.) or that their backstories have been used to get ratings, and when their 15 minutes were milked and they were axed.
