"Forbes" has released their annual list of the most miserable cities in the United States:

• The top 9 cities on their list are all in Michigan, Illinois and California 
• The rankings are based on factors including violent crime, unemployment, foreclosures, tax rates, home prices, commute times, and weather.

The list -  1.) Detroit, Michigan         2.)    Fint, Michigan        3.)   Rockford, Illinois                      4.)    Chicago                 5.)   Modesto, California                  6.)    Vallejo, California   7.)   Warren, Michigan                     8.)    Stockton, California 9.)   Lake County, Illinois               10.)    New York City        The only southern city in the Top 20 was Atlanta at # 16.
